Testing Instructions
The information in this section contains technical details regarding secure connections between J.P. Morgan and our clients. If you were sent a link to this section but feel this information is out of your role’s scope, please share this page with your technical contacts or the appropriate teams within your organization.
What’s Happening?
Clients are encouraged to test connectivity and file delivery in the J.P. Morgan Client Acceptance Test (CAT) environment. If you encounter an error when testing, please examine the verbose logs from your application to identify the issue.
You Should Know
Please follow the steps below using your preferred method of connection.
- Navigate to the following URL: https://ftscat2.mfts.jpmchase.com.
- Log in using your username and password. If you don't know your username and password, contact the J.P. Morgan Transmissions Control team and ask for a retest request.
- Perform an SFTP connection to ftscat2.mfts.jpmchase.com on port number 22.
- If using password-based authentication, log in using your user ID and password.
- If using key-based authentication, use your private version of the public key that is loaded in the J.P. Morgan test environment.
- If you need assistance with passwords, or with loading the keys, please contact the J.P. Morgan Transmissions Control team and ask for a retest request.
- Perform an FTPS connection to ftscat2.mfts.jpmchase.com on port number 21.
- For inbound FTPS connections to our server, the lower level data port range is from 9000-9300. All of our servers support explicit SSL only.
- Log in using your MFTS username and password. If you don't know your username and password, please contact the J.P. Morgan Transmissions Control team and ask for a retest request.
- Perform an AS2 connection to the J.P. Morgan test server using the AS2 URL: https://ftscat2.mfts.jpmchase.com:10443.
- The port number for incoming AS2 connections is 10443.
- Please be sure to use the correct certificates for encrypting and signing files. If you do not have the J.P. Morgan test certificates for encryption and SSL connection, please contact the J.P. Morgan Transmissions Control team and ask for a retest request.
- Confirm receipt of the Message Disposition Notification (MDN) after you have sent files to the J.P. Morgan server.
- If you are sending files to J.P. Morgan, be sure to encrypt the files using the J.P. Morgan server PGP test key and sign the file using your PGP test key. The public version of your test PGP key should already be installed under your account on the J.P. Morgan server.
- You will be able to see the folder(s) where you should upload files for testing once you have logged in
- If you are receiving encrypted and signed files from J.P. Morgan, then decrypt those files using your server PGP private test key and verify the signature using the J.P. Morgan server PGP public test key.
