Yuxi Wu

Georgia Tech, Advisors: Keith Edwards and Sauvik Das

Yuxi is a PhD candidate in computer science at Georgia Tech’s School of Interactive Computing, where she is advised by Keith Edwards and Sauvik Das.

Yuxi studies how collective action systems might be built in service of user privacy.  While users often feel concerned about their privacy from large institutions, they also feel powerless to do anything about it.  To bridge this power chasm, Yuxi employs a number of design probes and mixed-methods approaches.

Prior to Georgia Tech, Yuxi received her MS in computational analysis and public policy from the University of Chicago in 2018, and her BA in economics and business from University College London in 2015.  In her free time, she enjoys film photography, running, and hiking.
