Kang Gao

Kang Gao is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computing at Imperial College London, working with Prof. Wayne Luk and Prof. Stephen Weston.

Kang’'s research interests lie in modelling financial markets and improving risk management practices in financial services. He takes a multidisciplinary approach that encompasses the fields of artificial intelligence, agent-based modelling and financial mathematics. Currently, he focuses on agent-based modelling, where he works on developing innovative strategies for continual monitoring and efficient hedging of financial risks.

Kang obtained his master’s degree from Imperial College London and his bachelor’s degree from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
