Testing the Fed's Patience
The minutes from last week’s Federal Open Market Committee meeting provide a glimpse into the Fed’s decision to hold rates steady this year. But are critics right to call this policy too tight? Some indicators, such as the flat yield curve, may have validated these concerns in the past, but the strength of the economy and the stock market substantiate the Fed’s patience today.
