FinClear is one of Australia’s leading full-service providers of listed securities, offering clearing, execution and related services to more than 250 stockbrokers, FinTechs, financial advisors and wealth managers. As a trusted counterparty to more than 2 million Australian retail investor accounts, FinClear administers more than AUD 200 billion of assets on platform.1
With a market-leading position in the clearing and execution of Australian equities, FinClear is focused on delivering infrastructure that helps clients meet changing investor needs across domestic and international markets.
As Australian investors continued to diversify into global assets, FinClear saw rising demand from clients for faster, more cost-effective international trading and settlement capabilities.
The shift to T+1 settlement for U.S. equities made this need more urgent. Wholesale brokers required same-day FX settlement capabilities, with funds needing to reach U.S. brokers within approximately 24 hours of trade execution. Australia’s 14-hour time difference with the U.S. further tightened the settlement window.
FinClear needed a scalable FX and payments solution tailored to the wealth management sector—one that could simplify international trading, reduce manual work and help clients deliver a better investor experience.
“It’s about putting cash, FX and payments at the center of the investing workflow. We needed a flexible, scalable solution. That’s why we chose J.P. Morgan.”

J.P. Morgan Payments helped FinClear develop FinClear Cash Hub, a fully integrated FX and payments solution for Australia’s wealth sector. Built on FinClear’s proprietary technology, the platform is supported by the global banking infrastructure, offshore banking capabilities and API connectivity of J.P. Morgan. Together, those capabilities give FinClear a more automated way to manage international settlement at scale.
FinClear Cash Hub brings several core capabilities into one operating model.
Each end investor receives a unique multicurrency account number, helping improve reconciliation efficiency.
Tiered FX and interest pricing allow FinClear to tailor spreads and interest tiers based on trade size and currency, while client segmentation tools give operations staff and advisors secure, user-specific oversight of client transactions.
Direct API integration with payment capabilities from J.P. Morgan also reduces manual reconciliation and re-keying across FinClear’s core platform.
The solution extends beyond platform connectivity. Offshore banking capabilities from J.P. Morgan helped FinClear establish accounts in key markets, including the U.S. and Canada, enabling local payments and bulk sweeping of foreign currency balances. That reduces the need for costly individual SWIFT transfers and supports faster movement of funds across markets.
The result is a more efficient settlement process for international trades. The solution enables U.S. dollar transfers from Sydney to New York in approximately 10 minutes, helping FinClear meet compressed global settlement timelines and support brokers as investor demand for international market access grows.1
“Multicurrency accounts. Tiered FX and interest pricing. Secure client segmentation. Everything designed around how FinClear actually operates.”

Head of Payments, Australia & New Zealand, J.P. Morgan
FinClear Cash Hub has strengthened FinClear’s role as a provider of international settlement infrastructure for Australia’s wealth sector.
Early results show how quickly the solution has created value. FinClear has reduced international payment costs by 75% through localized payment capabilities and batch processing. It has also reduced operational processing time by 88% through automation and real-time integration, while supporting 105% revenue growth in the near term through streamlined collections and broader FX participation.
Automation has reduced manual reconciliation and operational risk, allowing FinClear’s operations teams to spend more time on higher-value activities, including client relationship management and product development. The API-driven model also improves connectivity across systems and gives FinClear a scalable foundation for future growth.
Client feedback has reinforced the value of the solution. One client described the international settlement speed as “very impressive.” Another said of the tiered pricing capability, “No one else has this in the market—this solves all our problems.”
“With 24/7 access to cash, FX and global payments in one connected experience, our clients can meet settlement obligations and operate across global markets with great speed, flexibility and confidence.”
