Frequently asked questions

Retirement Link is designed for companies and organizations with plan assets ranging from $1 million to more than $100 million.

Offering a 401(k) or 403(b) plan can help your employees save for retirement, attract and retain top talent, boost employee morale and productivity, and provide valuable tax benefits for your business. You’re also helping your employees build a more secure financial future for themselves, which benefits everyone. Consult with a tax professional to determine how one of these plans can benefit your organization.

For-profit companies offer 401(k) plans, while 403(b) plans are typically provided by nonprofit organizations, public schools or churches. Both types of plans allow employees to save for retirement on a tax-deferred basis. 403(b) plans may have more limited investment options than 401(k) plans.

Generally, 401(k) plans are primarily funded through employee contributions, which are deducted directly from their paychecks. As an employer, you can choose to make additional contributions to help them save even more—typically through a percentage-based employer match or a discretionary bonus.

Setting up a 401(k) plan is a straightforward process. Simply schedule a meeting with one of our specialists in your local market. Our team can guide you through the process and handle the administrative details so you can focus on running your business.

Retirement Link’s biggest differentiator is best-in-class service. For the third year in row, Retirement Link received a #1 ranking in customer experience.1  Clients benefit from the Retirement Link service team’s average of more than 23 years’ experience and deep expertise in retirement plans.
