This is the second article in a series highlighting the causes supported through the Action Bond program, following our earlier story on supporting military families here.
Hope & Heroes is the latest charity supported through the Action Bond program, a platform launched in 2021 by the Structured Investment Distributor Marketing (SIDM) group within J.P. Morgan’s Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB). Hope & Heroes is the program’s first beneficiary dedicated to children’s health. Based across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, the organization funds research, treatment and care for children with cancer and blood disorders. Since the first Action Bond issuance in 2021, the global program has generated over $5.5 million1 for charities and nonprofits across a range of causes.
J.P. Morgan Markets has an established relationship with Hope & Heroes, including through the charity’s Annual Gala, “Wall Street’s Got Talent!,” attended by the firm’s senior management and clients.
In 2026, as part of the Action Bond platform, the firm made two upfront, unconditional donations totaling $800,000 to Hope & Heroes. The organization helps advance pioneering research for tomorrow’s cures while also funding comprehensive clinical care and family-centered services for children receiving treatment.
Action Bonds are not classic ESG investments; rather, they are an added feature that support charities, while investors stay aligned with existing investment goals such as exposure to the broad equities markets or select stocks. The program sets itself apart by dedicating a portion of the projected profits from assuming risks inherent in hedging the firm’s obligations under the structured investments issued under the program. Sales of the structured investments help offset the upfront, unconditional and irrevocable donations made by the Action Bond platform to the selected charity.
“We are very proud of our Action Bond program and the impact that it’s made over the years across a variety of causes that matter deeply to us and our clients. The ability to align philanthropic objectives whilst maintaining investment objectives is a hallmark of the program and our latest engagement with Hope & Heroes is no different.”

Advancing pediatric cancer care across the tri-state region
This year, Hope & Heroes celebrates its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of funding research, treatment and care for children with cancer and blood disorders across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Over that time, Hope & Heroes has provided vital resources for patients and families, while also supporting pioneering research aimed at improving outcomes for children in treatment.
J.P. Morgan’s commitment to donate $800,000 to Hope & Heroes may support initiatives such as: collaborative research efforts at seven leading medical centers throughout the tri-state area; and programs, services and support not covered by traditional health insurance, which Hope & Heroes believes may ease the burden on families during an incredibly challenging time.
A Tier 1 distributor has added Hope & Heroes to its annual Season of Service calendar, an employee volunteering initiative often aligned with local community campaigns over the summer months. We believe this early engagement shows the strong resonance of the fight against pediatric cancer and the potential to amplify the Action Bond program’s impact.
