Dorothee Blessing

Global co-head of Investment Banking Coverage

Dorothee Blessing is a Managing Director, and Global Co-Head of Investment Banking Coverage. In this role, she is responsible for all industry coverage groups globally and regional Investment Banking leadership. She is also a member of both the J.P. Morgan’s Global Banking Operating Committee and its Global Investment Banking Executive Committee, which drives execution of the firm’s strategic priorities across IB.

Dorothee advises corporates on financial and strategic matters, including mergers, acquisitions, and financings, as well as general corporate finance themes. Before being promoted to her current role in April 2024, Dorothee was Co-head of Investment Banking for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) from February 2020. During this time, she was a member of J.P. Morgan’s Global Investment Banking Management team. Prior to being Co-Head of EMEA Investment Banking, she was CEO of J.P. Morgan AG (which became JPMorgan SE in 2022) and a member of the firm’s European management committee. She was also regional Head for J.P. Morgan in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Ireland, Israel, and the Nordics, responsible for all lines of business. In addition, she has served as Co-Chair of the firm’s global Strategic Advisory Council and co-chaired the firm’s EMEA Diversity Council. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Dorothee spent more than 20 years at Goldman Sachs, where she was a longstanding Partner, Managing Director and Co-Head of Investment Banking in the German-speaking region. She was also a member of a number of Goldman Sachs’ global committees, including its Global Firm Wide Commitments Committee.

Dorothee studied at Hochschule St. Gallen (Switzerland) and HEC Paris (France) and holds a Master’s degree in business administration.
