Recon Rules Engine

September 2020

The Recon Rules Engine enhancement will help you manage and reconcile your transactions from multiple banks by reducing identification and matching issues that often cause reconciliation inefficiencies. Identifying "who you paid and who paid you" helps you expedite your reporting reconciliation and more readily identify your sources and uses of funds for cash positioning, all of which helps save time, lessen expenses and improve the value of your cash flow.

Here's how it works:

  • Step One: Create the rules that help you automate postings. Set up rules that look for specific information within transactions (e.g. beneficiary, payor, ACH customer ID) to impact. Indicate the new information you want to add to the identified transaction (e.g. general ledger number, entity, source or use of fund).
  • Step Two: Test your production data with the rules applied. Upload your new or modified rules. Apply your draft rules and then create online or direct transmission reporting test files. Validate your changes.
  • Step Three: Activate your new rules. You can then choose which online or direct transmission file in which to apply your active rule logic (including historical transactions).

Check back for updates and look for additional email materials in the coming months.
