J.P. Morgan Private Client FAQs

J.P. Morgan Private Client is a banking service delivered through a Relationship Manager who provides personalized, concierge-level guidance, navigating your needs across personal and business banking, lending, investing, and planning, with accessibility during and beyond normal business hours.

There is currently no fee for this service. Starting in 2026, if you have less than $750,000 in qualifying balances, you will be assessed a fee for J.P. Morgan Private Client.

This fee will be substantially higher than the Monthly Service Fee for other Chase banking products.

New money cannot be existing deposits, funds or securities held by you at Chase or its affiliates.

New money must be placed in an eligible account for it to count toward earning the bonus.

Eligible account types include:

  • Personal checking accounts
  • Personal savings accounts
  • Qualifying J.P. Morgan Wealth Management non-retirement accounts (opened in a Chase branch and serviced by a J.P. Morgan Private Client Advisor)

Ineligible account types include:

  • Chase Personal and Business CDs 
  • Business checking and savings accounts
  • J.P. Morgan Self-Directed Investing accounts
  • J.P. Morgan Wealth Management Personal Advisors accounts
  • Any J.P. Morgan Wealth Management retirement accounts (such as Traditional and Roth IRAs, Keoghs, SEP and SIMPLE IRAS, and 401(k) plans)

For example, but not limited to, balance requirements to waive Monthly Service Fees. Bonus/Account Information: To receive the bonus: 1) Meet with a Relationship Manager to open or upgrade to a J.P.Morgan Private Client Checking account; if you already have a J.P. Morgan Private Client Checking account, skip to step number two. 2) After offer enrollment, you have 45 days to transfer a total of $150,000 or more in qualifying new money or securities to a combination of only eligible accounts:


Eligible Accounts:
Qualifying Chase personal checking and savings accounts, and personal J.P. Morgan Wealth Management non-retirement accounts (opened in a Chase branch and serviced by a J.P. Morgan Private Client Advisor).


Ineligible Accounts:

The qualifying new money cannot be existing deposits, funds or securities held by you at Chase or its affiliates. At day 45, the bonus tier will be determined in the following manner:

  • New Money Inflows: $150,000 - $249,999.99 | Cash Bonus: $1,000
  • New Money Inflows: $250,000 - $499,999.99 | Cash Bonus: $2,000
  • New Money Inflows: $500,000+ | Cash Bonus: $3,000

AND 3) Hold the qualifying new money of at least $150,000 in only eligible accounts for at least 90 days from the offer enrollment date (gains and losses to qualifying investment balances from trading or market fluctuation will not be counted for purposes of meeting the balance requirements). After you have completed all the above requirements, we will deposit the bonus into your enrolled account within 40 days. To receive this bonus, the enrolled account must not be closed or restricted at the time of payout. Eligibility may be limited based on account ownership. The Annual Percentage Yield (APY), for J.P. Morgan Private Client Checking effective as of 09/19/2025 is 0.01% for all balances in all states. Interest rates are variable and subject to change. Additionally, fees may reduce earnings on the account. Offer availability subject to change. Additional J.P. Morgan Private Client bonus offers may exist concurrently. You can receive only one Chase Private Client CheckingSM new money bonus, J.P. Morgan Private Client new money bonus or savings promotional rate offer in a 12-month period from the last bonus coupon enrollment date. Coupon is good for one-time use and only one bonus per account. Bonuses are considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT (or Form 1042-S, if applicable).
