Managing Director, Wealth Partners Strategy, New York Metro Area Regional Lead, Family Engagement and Governance
Anne Black is a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Anne serves in a dual capacity at the firm, playing pivotal roles on the Wealth Partners Strategy team and as a New York Metro Area Regional Lead for the Family Engagement and Governance team.
In her role on the Wealth Partners Strategy team, Anne develops key strategic initiatives to help build and drive business for Wealth Partners, the holistic, ultra-high-net-worth platform at J.P. Morgan Advisors. Her work includes refining and enhancing advisor and client services, coordinating efforts across internal specialist teams, monitoring market trends to ensure the firm remains responsive to client needs and enhancing the operational efficiency of the platform.
As a New York Metro Area Regional Lead for the Family Engagement and Governance team, Anne helps clients navigate the opportunities and complexities of their wealth across generations. With an additional focus on philanthropy, Anne leverages her deep experience to advise clients on developing strategic, impactful giving platforms.
Anne brings more than 15 years of executive experience to her role. She has been a sought-after speaker at global conferences around economic development, philanthropy and impact investing. Before joining J.P. Morgan in 2024, she served as President of Goldman Sachs Gives, managing this global, donor-advised fund with average annual grant-making totaling $200 million across a wide range of topic areas. Her work involved close collaboration with Goldman Sachs leadership, partners and retired partners who maintained accounts in Goldman Sachs Gives. Anne also regularly advised the firm’s wealth management and investment banking clients on trends and best practices in philanthropy.
Earlier in her career, Anne was a Vice President of the Goldman Sachs Foundation, helping to launch 10,000 Women, a $100 million initiative aimed at economically empowering underserved women entrepreneurs around the world. She was previously a Director of Major Gifts at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, a Vice President for the technology and media company IAC and worked in marketing and philanthropy for Ralph Lauren Corporation.
Anne holds an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University. She earned a B.A. in economics and political science at Fairfield University and studied philosophy, politics and economics at St. Ann’s College, Oxford University.
Originally from Chicago, Anne lives in Manhattan. With her husband, she is often found on the sidelines of sports games cheering on her son, stepdaughters and stepsons and their various teams. Anne enjoys cooking for her family and friends, reading, skiing, practicing yoga and traveling. She has served on the New York Advisory Council of Common Sense Media since 2016, and with her love for Central Park, served as a member of the Central Park Conservancy’s Playground Partners Council from 2014 to 2024.
