J.P. Morgan's Social Finance (SF) unit provides investment and capital markets services to social enterprises, funds, foundations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), development financial institutions and other investors serving the base of the economic pyramid. In doing so, SF achieves a double bottom line of social benefit and financial return. The unit was launched in November 2007, as part of J.P. Morgan's Investment Bank. The group serves as the center of expertise and client contact for social impact investment opportunities. The geographic scope is global, with particular focus on developing countries where J.P. Morgan has presence.
