About Christopher

Christopher Carroll is a Managing Director and Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management. With nearly two decades of experience in the financial services industry, he provides tailored investment management and wealth planning strategies to individuals, families and institutions.

Chris holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP) designation and has a deep understanding of the equity markets, hedge funds and alternative investments honed during his years working with institutional investors and in the investment bank. This experience has afforded him valuable insight into the ways in which markets relate, how to asses risk and identify investment opportunities.

Chris devotes intensive effort to understanding the entirety of his clients’ financial picture, their priorities and their goals. Keeping these objectives in mind, he employs J.P. Morgan’s award-winning research and analysis1 to construct personalized strategies and develop short-, medium-, and long-term plans. He leverages his market knowledge to partner with professionals from around the firm and help his clients enhance and preserve their wealth.

The extensive array of capabilities available at J.P. Morgan enables Chris to deliver a comprehensive approach to wealth management and advise clients on complex challenges from wealth transfer and philanthropy to tax issues and business succession options. He also offers strategies related to credit, mortgages, and tailored borrowing approaches, including access to luxury lending services.

Prior to rejoining J.P. Morgan in 2015, Chris was a Managing Director at Janney, Montgomery Scott in Equity Capital Markets where he had the experience of working with many highly successful hedge fund portfolio managers across the globe. From 2004–2010 he was an Executive Director at J.P. Morgan, working in the Investment Bank focusing on Institutional Equities. He began his career as an Associate in Merrill Lynch’s Private Bank.

Chris graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Diplomatic History. He is a member of The National Financial Planning Association and The Philadelphia Estate Planning Council. Chris lives in Bryn Mawr, PA with his wife Chrissy and their two sons. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
