About Shai

Shai Salomon is an Executive Director and Wealth Advisor with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

As a partner of The Salomon Mikell Group, he manages investments for high-net-worth individuals, athletes, business owners, divorcées and finance professionals. Shai leverages his past experiences on the municipal bond trading desk and as a sales manager to offer tailored investment strategies.

Shai has over 15 years of financial industry experience, which began with a role as a Junior Advisor for Dean Witter. Seeking exposure to fixed income, he joined UBS, and as a Municipal Bond Portfolio Specialist, Shai advised Wealth Advisors on creating and restructuring portfolios aimed at aligning characteristics with client objectives, risk tolerance, performance and current market conditions. He transitioned to the UBS Institutional Municipal Desk, where he coordinated efforts with institutional accounts and traders to provide liquidity for buy-side accounts with par values exceeding $1 billion daily.

In 2008, Shai became the Complex Sales Manager with UBS in Chicago, where he was responsible for the day-to-day management of 90 Wealth Advisors and $4.7 billion in client assets. After nearly a decade of coaching Advisors to deliver outstanding service to their clients, Shai joined the Wealth Management division of Morgan Stanley to apply these skills directly as a Wealth Advisor. He moved to J.P. Morgan in 2016 to offer clients access to the global financial resources of the firm.

Shai graduated from Long Island University with a B.S. in Biology. He lives in Glencoe, Illinois with his wife and two daughters. When not spending time with his clients or his family, he enjoys golfing, exercising and traveling.
