About Kennan
Kennan Low is a Vice President and Wealth Partner with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management. With 35 years of experience in the financial industry, Ken delivers holistic advisory guidance that addresses the personal financial complexities of ultra-high-net-worth families.
Before joining J.P. Morgan in 2019, Ken spent 18 years at UBS Private Wealth Management. Previously, he was a proprietary trader at Kidder Peabody, Crédit Agricole, Sanwa Securities and Cargill, where he managed active risk positions in equities, fixed income, emerging markets, foreign exchange and derivatives. At Sanwa Securities, Ken was Head of Derivatives and was appointed the youngest member of that firm’s Executive Committee at age 33. From 1999-2001, Ken founded the quantitative hedge fund Northlake Partners LP, which was ranked in the top 1% of all hedge funds as measured by Sharpe Ratio on HedgeFund.net. Ken started his career in 1984 with Morgan Guaranty Trust in New York.
Ken holds the Certified Private Wealth Advisor certification (CPWA), an advanced credential that focuses on every phase of wealth – accumulation, preservation and generational transfer. He is a member of the Market Technicians Association, American Association of Professional Technical Analysts, Professional Risk Managers International Association and National Economists Club.
Ken received his B.A. from Dartmouth College in 1984, where he majored in Engineering and Computer Science. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife, Ann, and their four sons.
