About Betsy

Betsy Bliss is an Executive Director and Wealth Advisor with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

As a founding member of The PDI Group, she serves multi-generational families and officers of public and private corporations. Betsy's particular focus is seeking downside risk protection, which she implements through investments in dividend-paying blue chip securities.

Betsy also guides her clients in influencing responsible corporate behavior through proactively investing in companies that are making positive contributions in environmental, social and governance (ESG) areas. She leverages J.P. Morgan's wide array of leading money managers, including its socially responsible, impact and ESG mutual funds, to build portfolios to meet her clients' goals.

Betsy began her career as a reporter for the Chicago Daily News, and co-authored two books about investing and wealth management that were published by major publishing houses.

Beginning her 40+ year financial services career at CIBC Oppenheimer as a Senior Vice President for Institutional Sales, Betsy disseminated research to mutual funds and insurance companies and managed portfolios for individuals. In 2003, she joined a J.P. Morgan predecessor firm and transitioned to her present role in 2008.

Betsy earned both a B.S. and an M.S. from Northwestern University. She also earned a Masters in Theological Studies from the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University. Betsy has taught a course on Business and Management Skills to theology students. She holds certificates in portfolio management from DePaul University's College of Commerce and Babson College's School of Executive Education.
