Kurt Sylvia is a Managing Director, Wealth Partner, and Portolio Manager with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management. By working with an elite group of specialists, Kurt delivers highly customized solutions that address a full spectrum of wealth management needs. These needs extend beyond investment management to include liability management, trust and estate planning, tax management and philanthropic strategies. This approach is based on the model of providing advice, access to a world-class product platform and a well-executed plan. By following this approach, Kurt has developed personalized investment strategies that can help balance income, growth and risk for each client. Kurt’s mission is to help clients pursue and/or maintain their preferred future through superior levels of consulting and service.

Kurt has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He is considered to be a top advisor to families of significant means, not only in the South Florida marketplace, but nationally through industry recognitions, including Forbes, Barron’s and the Financial Times.1

Kurt is a graduate of Providence College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance. He holds FINRA series 6, 7, 31, 52, 63 and 65 licenses. He is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Stetson University School of Business. Kurt resides in Jupiter, Florida, with his wife and two teenaged children. Kurt and his wife, Michele, are actively involved in their community.

1. The Barron’s rankings are based on data provided by over 4,000 of the nation’s most productive advisors. Factors included in the rankings: assets under management, revenue produced for the firm, regulatory record, quality of practice and philanthropic work. Investment performance isn’t an explicit component because not all advisors have audited results and because performance figures often are influenced more by clients’ risk tolerance than by an advisor’s investment-picking abilities. Awards or rankings are not indicative of future success or results.
2. The Forbes ranking of Best-In-State Wealth Advisors and Top Wealth Advisor, developed by SHOOK Research, are based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria, mostly gained through telephone and in-person due diligence interviews, and quantitative data. Those advisors that are considered have a minimum of seven years’ experience, and the algorithm weights factors like revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience and those that encompass best practices in their practices and approach to working with clients. Portfolio performance is not a criteria due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data. Neither Forbes nor SHOOK receive a fee in exchange for rankings. Awards or rankings are not indicative of future success or results.
3. The Financial Times 400 Top Financial Advisors is an independent listing produced annually by the Financial Times (March 2018). The FT 400 is based on data gathered from advisors, broker-dealer home offices, regulatory disclosures, and the FT’s research. The listing reflects each advisor’s status in six primary areas: assets under management (AUM), asset growth, compliance record, experience, credentials and online accessibility. This award does not evaluate the quality of services provided to clients and is not indicative of this advisor’s future performance. Neither the brokerages nor the advisors pay a fee to the Financial Times in exchange for inclusion in the FT 400. Awards or rankings are not indicative of future success or results.
