Doug Palfrey is a Wealth Advisor who joined J.P. Morgan's predecessor firm Bear Stearns in 2005 as an Associate Director. Doug works with trusts, foundations and individuals in all areas of wealth management. He is committed to long-term relationships, and strives to provide his clients with the best financial advice available along with the highest level of service.
Prior to joining the firm, Doug spent five years as a Vice President—Investments and Financial Advisor at UBS Financial Services. He began his financial services career with PaineWebber in 1990.
Doug has a simple approach to wealth management that emphasizes balance sheet management. He believes that the leading investment plans are simple, easy to understand and actionable. As a Portfolio Manager in the firm’s Portfolio Manager Program, Doug actively manages his clients’ portfolios, using J.P. Morgan’s world-class research capabilities to apply his investment strategy. To qualify as a Portfolio Manager, Doug has undergone a screening process, and is subject to periodic review on a qualitative and quantitative basis.
Doug served four years in the U.S. Navy, from 1973 to 1977. Upon his discharge, he attended the University of West Florida, where he earned his B.S. in Business. A native of Pensacola, Florida, Doug has been a resident of Atlanta since 1980.
Outside of work, Doug is actively involved in Junior Achievement, and enjoys fishing, photography and playing golf.
