Terms of Use

  1. These terms of use govern your use of the one time security code delivered via text message (the “service”) and by receiving or otherwise using the service, you agree to the following terms of use.  As used herein, the terms “we,” “us” and “our” mean JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. , or any affiliate, agent, independent contractor, designee, or assignee that we may, at our sole discretion, involve in the provision of the service, and the words “you” and “your” mean you, the individual(s) or entity using the service.
  2. You agree that we may send a text message through your communications service provider in order to deliver such text message to you and that your communications service provider is acting as your agent in this capacity.  There is no service fee for this service but you are responsible for any and all charges, including, but not limited to, fees associated with text messaging imposed by your communications service provider.   Message and data rates may apply.  Such charges include those from your communications service provider.  Please contact your communications service provider for information about your messaging plan. Your communications service provider may impose message or charge limitations that are outside of our control.  All charges are billed by and payable to your communications service provider.
  3. You represent that you are the owner, or authorized user of the mobile device you use to receive the service, and that you are authorized to approve the applicable charges from your communications service provider.   You agree to indemnify, defend and hold us harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, liability, cost and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your provision of a mobile phone number, or other delivery location that is not your own or your violation of any applicable federal, state or local law, regulation or ordinance. Your obligation under this paragraph shall survive termination of the service.
  4. We will send you a text message only once, and only with your explicit agreement as indicated by your continuation of the process flow.
  5. We will not be liable for any delays or failures in your receipt of any text message as delivery is subject to effective transmission from your communications service provider and processing by your mobile device.  The text message service is provided on an AS IS, AS AVAILABLE basis.
  6. Data obtained from you in connection with this service may include your mobile phone number, your communication service provider’s name, and the date, time, and content of your text message and other information that you may provide.  We may use this information to contact you and to provide the service you request from us, and to otherwise operate, develop, and improve the service. Your communications service provider and other service providers may also collect data from your text usage, and their practices are governed by their own policies. We will only use the information you provide to the service to transmit your text message or as otherwise described in these terms of use. Nonetheless, we reserve the right at all times to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any law, regulation, or governmental request, to avoid liability, or to protect our rights or property.  When you complete forms online or otherwise provide us information in connection with the service, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and true information.
  7. The service as well as the content and materials received through the service are proprietary to us and our licensors, and is for your personal, non-commercial use only. You shall not damage, impair, interfere with, or disrupt the service or its functionality.
  8. The service is available only in the United States.
  9. We reserve the right to alter charges and/or these terms and conditions from time to time. We may suspend or terminate the service to you if we believe you are in breach of our terms of use. Your service is also subject to termination in the event your wireless service terminates or lapses. We may discontinue the service at any time.
  10.  You can text the word HELP to 32858 to get additional information about the service.  If you receive a text message from us unexpectedly, you can text the word STOP to 32858. We do not charge for help or information messages.  Message and data rates may apply.  Such charges include those from your communications service provider.
