About Neil

Neil Canell is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

Neil has been working in the financial advisory business for over 30 years. In addition to being extremely well-versed in all equity products, he focuses on the fixed income marketplace, specifically municipal and corporate bonds as well as taxable and tax-free bond funds. Neil coordinates client mortgages, debtrefinancing, HELOCs and credit line strategies in conjunction with a mortgage advisor. He is also The Canell Group's primary contact for its professional athlete and entertainment clientele.

Neil was selected as one of the 2022 J.P. Morgan Chairman's Award honorees. It's incredibly meaningful to be recognized by the firm's leaders for demonstrating exemplary leadership, collaboration, client engagement and community partnership. Neil joined J.P. Morgan in 2017 to offer his clients the boutique advisory environment and distinctive services available at the firm. He leverages the wide breadth of J.P. Morgan's industry-leading resources to help clients pursue their individualized financial goals. He received his B.A. from Lehigh University in 1989 and is FINRA Series 7, 31 and 63 securities registered.

A resident of Purchase, New York, Neil and his wife, Loren, have three children, Jordan, Charlie and Harper. He is an Advisory Board Member of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and a member of the Foundation Board of White Plains Hospital.

Neil is also a founding board member of Summer Camp Opportunities to Promote Education (SCOPE), a nonprofit organization that provides children from underserved communities with life-changing opportunities through the experience of summer camp. Neil recently received the 2023 Ben Appelbaum Advocates for Youth Award in recognition of his work with SCOPE.

Additional leadership roles in the community include board membership for My Money Workshop, The Pediatric Cancer Foundation, where he was honored in 2017 as Co-Person of The Year, and The Athletes vs. Crohn's & Colitis Organization. Additionally, Neil serves on the board of Harrison's Varsity Lacrosse and Harrison's Youth Lacrosse (HYL) program.
