About Gary

Gary Fournier is a Managing Director and Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

Gary has over 40 years of investment and finance experience and is proud of the value he's added to clients over the years, through many financial market and economic cycles. He has built a wealth management practice of over $900 million in assets under management.

Gary began his career with White Weld & Co., ultimately becoming a Partner and overseeing their Century City office. After White Weld was acquired by Merrill Lynch, he moved and became a Partner with Kidder Peabody & Co., where he pioneered the first U.S. over-the-counter shelf registration. He also worked with the global telecom firm, Global Crossing. Gary moved to Smith Barney in 1993, a career transition that was noted on the front page of the Wall Street Journal. While there, he managed a large number of high-value accounts, and was referenced in a 2000 Forbes magazine article. Prior to taking his current position, Gary also served as a money manager at UBS.

Gary and his wife are deeply committed to cancer research and have set up a fund at UCLA, personally funding the entire first year's research. Additionally, he supports a number of community organizations including Peninsula Friends of the Library, the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy and the Assistance League of San Pedro-South Bay. When not working, Gary enjoys spending time with Debi, his wife of over 30 years.
