Tradeable Index Strategies
Tradeable Index Strategies: Credit
J.P. Morgan's innovative iTraxx Total Return Swaps (TRS) provide exposure to the European credit market through a price-based, funded product whose performance is based on the returns of the on-the-run iTraxx CDS index.
Traditional credit investors can use iTraxx TRS to remove the burden of defaults settlement procedures upon defaults, rolling into new contracts and reinvestment of coupons. Non-traditional credit investors can use them to gain greater diversification for their portfolios through a new asset class.
