J.P. Morgan is a leader in emerging markets fixed income — from research to sales, trading and financing. The firm continues to expand capabilities in local and emerging markets and is constantly investing in innovative products and platforms that enable clients to grow their exposure in this area. The business is a stand-alone unit organized globally, which enables the firm to respond quickly to meet local and international clients' increasingly complex needs. J.P. Morgan has increased its on-the-ground commitment in key markets to deepen the focus on local opportunities in fixed income.
The Emerging Markets Research team analyzes sovereign and credit risk and makes strategic recommendations for debt issued in both international and local capital markets. The team also publishes a suite of bond indices, including the J.P. Morgan Emerging Markets Bond Index Global (EMBI Global), which tracks total returns for U.S. dollar-denominated debt instruments issued by emerging market sovereign and quasi-sovereign entities, including Brady bonds, loans and Eurobonds.
