HONG KONG: J.P. Morgan Asset Management launches JPM Investment Academy 2012

Hong Kong, 5 March 2012: J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) today announced the launch of the JPM Investment Academy 2012. First launched in 2009, the JPM Investment Academy is the first investor education program of its kind in the local investment fund industry. Through a series of comprehensive and free-of-charge investor education courses, the Academy aims to provide participants with a better understanding of the financial industry and investment management.
"More and more Hong Kong investors are realising the importance of equipping themselves with a good understanding of investments and the skills required to make smart investment decisions. Since its introduction in 2009, the JPM Investment Academy has been attended by over 11,000 participants and demand is still overwhelming," said Leo Cheung, Head of Direct Business.
"Now in its fourth year, the JPM Investment Academy 2012 demonstrates JPMAM’s strong focus on investor education and our ongoing efforts to educate investors. Our aim is not only to fulfill our social responsibilities by educating local investors, but also to assist our business partners by providing free training to their staff and clients. This is our commitment to the Hong Kong investment fund industry and we fully intend to continue our efforts to educate investors for many more years to come," added Mr Cheung.
Now open for online registration, the JPM Investment Academy 2012 comprises 20 courses across four modules – 1) Fund Insights, 2) Portfolio Insights, 3) Economic Insights and 4) Strategy Insights. Participants can attend any courses they wish and upon completion of any 10 courses, they will be entitled to receive a free subscription to 10 issues of a local financial magazine.
