UK's biggest trust manager continues drive to inform and educate

LONDON 3 October 2012 – J.P. Morgan Asset Management, the largest manager of investment trusts in the UK, has launched short films looking at each of the 21 trusts in its range. The films offer an insight into the portfolios and investment processes of each of the trusts, and can be used for advisers' own information or to share with clients when considering an investment.

David Barron, Head of Investment Trusts at J.P. Morgan Asset Management said, "There has been a lot of discussion around the arrival of RDR bringing investment trusts into focus and these videos have been developed to help advisers understand more about how each of the 21 investment trusts managed by J.P. Morgan Asset Management can be used in investors' portfolios. J.P. Morgan Asset Management, as the biggest investment trust manager in the UK, has been working with advisers over the past couple of years to increase their knowledge and understanding of the sector. These films are our latest initiative, building on the work we have done over the summer with our series of Insight papers looking at some common misconceptions about investment trusts."

The films can be viewed by visiting http://am.jpmorgan.co.uk/investment-trusts and choosing 'more about this trust' for the trust or trusts that interest you.

David Barron went on to say, "We have also produced a range of short films aimed at private investors that explain some of the basics of investment trusts. We hope that advisers will be able to use these films to help explore investment trusts with clients who wish to broaden their portfolios. The aim is to demonstrate how investment trusts can play a key role in a balanced investment portfolio, providing opportunities for both conservative investors and those with a greater appetite for risk."

The 'definitions' films for private investors can be found at http://am.jpmorgan.co.uk/investment-trusts/videos/.
