JPMorgan Chase was recently recognized by the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) for its outstanding contributions to promote human rights and advance immigration reform.
The JPMorgan Chase Global Pro Bono Program exemplifies the firm’s 15th Business Principle ("We help strengthen the communities in which we live and work") and is a way for Legal Department colleagues to meet their important professional responsibility to give back to their communities and their profession. The program offers a variety of opportunities for engagement in JPMorgan Chase offices around the world focused on three areas: supporting communities, empowering families and advocating for vulnerable individuals.
NIJC is a nonprofit organization with offices in Chicago and Washington, D.C., that ensures access to justice for immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers and survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence. With support from a network of more than 1,000 pro bono attorneys, the center provides legal counsel and advice each year to nearly 10,000 immigrants from more than 100 countries who would not otherwise have access to an attorney.
