J.P. Morgan hosted its first School of Finance in South Africa, the most recent way the firm is helping the country to boost career aspirations and professional skills, as well as stem rising unemployment. The interactive, two-day classroom experience held at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) provided a practical foundation in corporate finance and South African equity and debt market principles.
The J.P. Morgan School of Finance will continue to run through 2016 and beyond and have a broad focus on finance and leadership. The courses will be facilitated by GIBS professors and J.P. Morgan executives.
