Daniel Pinto, CEO, J.P. Morgan Corporate & Investment Bank, has been appointed to serve on the executive committee for the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).
Established in 1992, the Council was set up to enable “forward-thinking companies” to come together to “create a sustainable future for business, society and the environment.”
J.P. Morgan works to create sustainability-oriented opportunities through its different businesses. Capital and derivatives products for renewable energy and clean tech projects, support for the green bond market, and international development financing are some of the ways J.P. Morgan is developing more sustainable business models and markets for its clients, communities and employees.
Pinto has been a member of the WBCSD since 2014. He takes up the post in January 2017 and will serve two years on the executive committee.
