J.P. Morgan is supporting the Polish Children and Youth Foundation (PCYF), a non-profit organization that supports the intellectual, social and physical development of children and young people by increasing social awareness of children and youth issues in Poland. PCYF cooperates regularly with 150 organizations from across Poland. About 250,000 young people and 3,000 teachers and educators benefit from various PCYF activities every year.
The grant enables the PCYF to develop a new educational program that will address a lack of core competencies and transferable skills training at vocational and technical colleges in Poland. The program will help 1,250 at-risk students, across 10 vocational and technical schools in Warsaw, to improve their employment outcomes in the first year. Students will participate in a “Life Skills Program,” which will include designing and implementing community and technical innovation projects.
