Oct 31, 2012
J.P. Morgan’s exclusive sponsorship of a recent Beijing contemporary art exhibition highlights the firm’s commitment to supporting the community and the arts.
The exhibit, the “Future Pass World Exhibition – Today Beijing Station,” held at Beijing’s Today Art Museum, features artwork from about 160 leading artists from Asia working with a variety of materials, including oil painting, ink painting, sculpture, installation and even cartoon. The show marks the third consecutive year that J.P. Morgan has sponsored a major contemporary art exhibition in China.
The exhibit explores the relationship between the creative energy of contemporary art in Asia and the rest of the word, and showcases works from Asian contemporary arts who have been inspired by traditional art forms, but also by anime and other forms of popular culture. After touring in Venice, Taipei and Rotterdam, “Future Pass World Exhibition” has attracted more than 330,000 visitors. Beijing was selected as the last stop of its global tour.
