J.P. Morgan Named #1 Global Prime Broker in Global Custodian’s 2012 Prime Brokerage Survey

J.P. Morgan was ranked the top global prime broker in the 19th annual Global Custodian prime brokerage survey, a global ranking that surveys the perceptions of prime brokers by the hedge fund community.
This year, J.P. Morgan received “Top-Rated” status in thirteen categories of respondents, including leading clients in North America and Europe, as well as 143 “Best-in-Class” awards in categories ranging from client service and reporting to value and reputation. Clients participating in the survey describe J.P. Morgan as having “a truly global prime brokerage platform,” an “excellent reputation” and “the best balance sheet.”
Global Custodian ranked J.P. Morgan the number one prime broker globally after compiling responses from 97 of its leading hedge fund clients – those who manage at least $1 billion – and 302 clients overall. Leading hedge fund clients gave J.P. Morgan an average score of 5.75 out of 7; all hedge fund clients scored J.P. Morgan at 5.84 out of 7.
