As part of the firm’s ongoing philanthropic efforts, J.P. Morgan, through the JPMorgan Chase Foundation, made a grant in support of the ‘A is for Art’ program in Singapore, helping primary school students gain a deeper understanding of art and culture.
Organized by the Asian Civilizations Museum (ACM) and the Singapore Teachers’ Academy for the aRts (STAR), the ‘A is for Art’ program promotes holistic art education in primary schools through museum-based experiences for students and teachers.
As part of the program, 35 art teachers attended a professional development session conducted by the ACM and STAR. The session was designed to help teachers integrate heritage and culture into their art lessons.
More than 7,000 students from 23 primary schools participated in the campaign and became the program’s first beneficiaries. At the end, all students and teachers received awards in recognition of their artistic endeavors.
