J.P. Morgan is recognized for offering best execution in FX electronic trading
May 06, 2011
J.P. Morgan has been awarded Best Execution Platform for its algorithmic trading tools in the 2011 Profit & Loss Digital FX Awards. The firm also won the award for Best Application Program Interface (API).
Over the past several years, algorithmic trading has expanded from the traditional equities market into FX and other fixed income asset classes. Pre-programmed algorithmic coding looks for certain market conditions according to an agreed strategy and then executes an order when those conditions are met. J.P. Morgan’s ‘AlgoX’ suite of algorithmic execution tools is available via MorganDirect (J.P. Morgan’s single-dealer platform), Bloomberg and FIX.
J.P. Morgan’s MorganDirect platform provides real-time, executable streaming prices in 300 currency pairs to a desktop computer, BlackBerry, iPhone or iPad. J.P. Morgan has also developed MorganDirect Match, which allows selected high frequency firms to provide pricing in a controlled environment to the benefit of clients looking for the widest available liquidity.
