Tax Time!
A year-end participant message will be included with all recurring December 31, 2011 and January 1, 2012 payment stubs and ACH deposit advices to remind Plan participants of the January 31, 2012 tax form mailing deadline and provide the tax form help phone number.
February 1, 2012 is the first day the J.P. Morgan Benefit Payments Tax Help Line (1-877-493-1099) will be opened and staffed to receive Plan participant calls. The line will be staffed from 8:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday and will be available to your participants until April 30, 2012.
Personal Identifiable Information (PII) Masking
Clients tell us that they are thrilled with the enhancements that J.P. Morgan has made to better protect their plan participants’ Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as name, address, and Social Security number. As we shared last year, Benefit Payments has taken a very firm approach to protecting plan sponsor and plan participants’ information by masking all but the last four digits of Social Security numbers on reporting. Additionally, we enhanced our on-line benefit payment system to mask all but the last four Social Security number digits from all viewing screens.
J.P. Morgan has taken this data protection one step further and is now providing you with more system features to allow you to prevent your authorized InfoWeb users from viewing full Social Security numbers unnecessarily. Our recent system enhancement allows you to restrict viewing of unmasked Social Security numbers, by masking all but the last four digits on reports and online screens.
If you would like to implement a more stringent access control policy regarding your participant’s PII data on InfoWeb, please complete an updated Secure User Request form to change your users’ entitlements. Your client service representative can provide the form and answer any questions with completing the form.
