Security Administration

When you identify Security Administrators (SAs) for J.P. Morgan ACCESS®, you have authorized internal users who will maintain system security at a level prescribed by your company. Security Administration is an online application designed specifically for SAs to help manage user identities and passwords.

An Overview of Security Administration Web Pages

  • Summary – View all users at a high level; useful to obtain information on the status of a password and to identify tasks awaiting approval.
  • Get Credentials – Retrieve a user's password and, if needed, the information necessary for a user to create a digital signature.
  • Approve Actions – Approve or reject specific actions pertaining to passwords or user IDs initiated by another Security Administrator within your organization where a secondary control is required. The second SA can retrieve a user’s log-on ID and, if needed, the second piece of information necessary for a user to create a digital signature.
  • Initiate Actions – Activate/deactivate users; reset/unlock a user’s password.
  • See All Users – Search for a user by name, user ID or the following criteria: All Users (default), Inactive, Password Available, Pending Reset, Pending Password or Pending Activation.
