Marian Azer appointed by Worldwide Securities Services business to develop strategy and meet the evolving needs of custody and administration services’ clients
Sydney, July 24, 2012 – J.P. Morgan Worldwide Securities Services (WSS) has today announced the appointment of Marian Azer to the Investor Services product team as Head of Global Fund Services Product for Australia and New Zealand.
Azer will work closely with clients and the wider industry to identify market trends and develop client-focused solutions for the Global Fund Services product division in order to support the firm’s clients in executing their Australia and New Zealand growth strategy.
Focusing on the full range of Global Fund Services capabilities that J.P. Morgan offers in Australia and New Zealand, covering fund accounting, investment analytics, compliance, exchange traded funds, derivatives, transfer agency and middle office, Azer will be instrumental in further enhancing the way J.P. Morgan serves the rapidly changing needs of clients in the fast moving Australian superannuation and investment management environment.
Azer joins from Mercer, where she was a Principal, leading operational consulting for all aspects of investment implementation and operations for clients across Asia. Prior to this, she held a variety of client service, project and operations roles at BNP, Orion Asset Management and AAS.
The appointment is a return to J.P. Morgan for Azer, who commenced her career with the organisation in 1996.
David Braga, Head of Product, Investor Services, Australia and New Zealand, J.P. Morgan Worldwide Securities Services, said Azer brings to the role a deep understanding of market best practice as well as the needs of institutional clients.
“Marian’s appointment underscores J.P. Morgan’s continued focus on our clients’ evolving needs. Her experience means she will seamlessly transition into the role, and be able to quickly respond to changing client and market needs. She has an exemplary market reputation and industry presence, which will continue to extend our engagement with clients and industry partners.
“Marian’s proven ability to drive end-to-end programs, her core strategic and problem solving skills and solid project management and implementation experience also complement the skills of the other members of the Investor Services Product team,” Braga added.
J.P. Morgan’s investment in the Australian market goes beyond a commitment to appoint the best people. Earlier this year, J.P. Morgan WSS announced an AUD30 million investment in new product and technology solutions to provide its clients with an enhanced service delivery experience.
