Lisa Robins
Managing Director, Treasury Services China Executive and Beijing Branch Manager Asia Pacific
Ms. Lisa Robins is the Managing Director, Treasury Services China Executive. Based in Beijing, Ms. Robins is responsible for all aspects of the TS China business including product, sales, operations, risk, strategy and reporting. In addition, her role includes branch manager of the Beijing Branch and support for Worldwide Securities Services business in China.
Ms. Robins has been with J.P. Morgan since 1988. She joined Chase Manhattan in Paris, France and has held various management positions within the firm including Trade Finance, Business Development, Strategy and Product Management. Ms. Robins relocated to Hong Kong as the Asia Regional Product Head from New York in 2006 where she ran the Global Check and Cash business. She moved to Beijing in 2007 to assume her current position.
Prior to J.P. Morgan, Ms. Robins ran the Carvax Corporation, a subsidiary of Louis Dreyfus Corporation as Executive Vice President where she developed and managed the company focusing on trading and consulting in China. Additionally, Ms. Robins founded and managed Chifrasie, (France), a company which conducted seminars on how to do business in China to French companies.
Ms. Robins received her Masters degree in Chinese Studies at Stanford University, USA and she has a Bachelor of Arts in History and Asian Studies from Tufts University, USA. She also completed additional studies in Taiwan Normal University and Taipei Daily Language Centre.
Ms. Robins is a member of the American Chamber of Commerce, Beijing and the Bankers Association of Beijing and has been on several non-profit boards in the U.S. She speaks French, Chinese (Mandarin) and English (her native language) plus a working knowledge of Spanish. She lives in Beijing with her husband and two dogs; Her daughter is a university student in the U.S.
