London, March 17, 2010 – J.P. Morgan announced today that it has launched an iPhoneTM application for MorganDirectTM, its institutional foreign exchange and rates trading platform.
"We are excited that MorganDirect is the first institutional FX trading platform to be made available via iPhone, allowing traders to remain in touch with the FX market 24 hours a day from any location", said James Taylor, global head of FX e-commerce distribution at J.P. Morgan. "For the FX professional, the touchscreen and landscape mode make MorganDirect on the iPhone a powerful tool," he added.
A free trial of the MorganDirect application can be downloaded via the App StoreSM by using the search terms: 'MD Pro', 'MorganDirect' and 'J.P. Morgan'. Approved users of MorganDirect can log into their account and obtain the full functionality on offer. Other users can select the 'view only' trial mode to see FX rates updated real-time. They can also register direct from their iPhone to become a client and trade via MorganDirect.
The trading platform is already accessible via Blackberry® and a client's desktop.
