Our Employees

Employee Networks

The firm has more than 70 Employee Networks, initiated by and for employees, in locations across the globe. These are groups of employees of a common cultural heritage, gender, age or interest. Employee Networks provide their members with a forum to communicate and exchange ideas, build a network of relationships across the firm, access to volunteer opportunities in the community, and support for career development and mentoring. More than 20,000 of the company’s employees worldwide participate in one or more employee networks.

They help to strengthen our culture by:

  • Supporting employees
  • Promoting professional development
  • Offering mentoring opportunities
  • Helping employees understand the firm’s culture
  • Reinforcing JPMorgan's commitment to inclusiveness and diversity
  • Functioning as a resource to the Corporate Diversity Council
  • Acting as a forum to accelerate the pace of change and cultivate an inclusive atmosphere

In the recent past, Employee Networks have hosted notable speakers and events. For example, AsPIRE, the Employee Network for Asian Pacific Islander group, hosted Indra Nooyi, President and CFO of PepsiCo Inc.  PRIDE, the employee network for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender employees, hosted an appearance by the acclaimed playwright Tony Kushner, and another event with Judy Shepard, founder the Matthew Shepard Foundation, which emphasizes LGBT equality and hate crime prevention.
