For the first time ever, investors in the £128m JPMorgan Chinese Investment Trust plc will be given the opportunity to ask questions at the Company’s AGM on Tuesday 11 December 2007 online via JPMorgan Asset Management’s (JPMAM) new interactive AGM service.
As well as being able to attend in person at the Armourer’s Hall in London, investors will be able to put their questions to the Chairman, board directors and/or the investment managers before the AGM, via an online form. Following the AGM, JPMAM will post a transcript of the answers to these questions on the JPM Chinese Investment Trust’s webpage at www.jpmchinese.co.uk. This service will also be offered at the JPM Japanese Investment Trust AGM on Thursday 20 December 2007.
Commenting on the new capacity for an interactive AGM, David Barron, head of investment trusts at JPMAM, the leading investment trust provider said: “Communication with our shareholders in the trusts is of utmost importance so we are pleased to offer investors a new way to have their questions answered. By providing investors with the chance to submit questions online to the board of a trust, its Chairman as well as the investment managers, our investors now have more choice as to how they get up-to-date information .”
