Citywire's Top 100 Fund Managers

JPMorgan Asset Management (JPMAM) is leading the field once again as Citywire, the influential U.K. financial services website, recognized the outstanding talent within the group by ranking eight of the firm's fund managers in their annual Top 100 Fund Managers for 2008.

The Citywire rankings, which list the highest performing unit trust and OEIC fund managers over three years on a risk-adjusted basis, ranked Georgina Brittain in third place (Top 3 for second year), John Baker in 14th and Edward Pulling in 22nd.

In a separate survey that looked at performance over one year, JPMAM also stood out with seven managers in the Top 100 and with Georgina Brittain once again occupying a Top 10 spot.

Brittain spoke to Citywire and explained her investment strategy: "I rely heavily on JPMorgan’s quantitive screening process to unearth the stocks that I choose for the fund. The screen draws on behavioral finance techniques to help avoid having decisions compromised by personal feelings," she said.

More AAA rated fund managers
In addition, we believe JPMAM is able to boast more AAA rated fund managers than any other fund management group, a truly outstanding achievement considering that fewer than five percent of managers will achieve a AAA rating and only one in five receive a rating at all.*
