New York, February 2, 2009 – J.P. Morgan announced today that it has completed its acquisitions of UBS Commodities Canada Ltd. and UBS AG’s global agricultural business. The acquisitions were announced on December 22, 2008.
Based in Calgary, UBS Commodities Canada Ltd. is now J.P. Morgan Commodities Canada Corporation. The acquisition expands J.P. Morgan’s global commodities business into the Canadian natural gas, power and crude oil physical and financial markets.
J.P. Morgan has also completed its acquisition of UBS AG’s global agricultural business, enabling the investment bank to broaden its client base and risk management capabilities in the agricultural markets.
